It is a fact of life that people do not lead their everyday life following every syllable of the scripture.
Taslima did not seek any solution. Nothing Taslima said against the Qur'an or that disgusting book, Maksudul Momenin, that was not said by Humayun Azad or long before him, Begum Rokeya.
Women's movements in Bangladesh suffered a blow from Taslima's foolishness.
My point here is not religion. I'm talking about politics.
Please read carefully the Wash. Post article by Amir Taheri, posted by Dr. Kalim Irfani elsewhere in your mukto-mona INBOX. We would be damn fools if we did not heed the warning of the political disaster waiting to happen in Bangladesh to be ushered by the Jamaatis. Smart Islamist/Jamaati ideologues of Bangladesh in the USA hate Amir Taheri. I find him very informative.
