[ALOCHONA] You Bet They Are Right

Mr. Khundkar:

It is not fair at the same time to brand Saudi Arabia in that way following the brand of a neo-secularist. Please do not forget that Saudi Arabia is the country as well that sends the highest amound of constructive donation to Bangladesh (you may argue Canada) which is much higher in proportion to other donors when you compare their national GDP. Saudi Arabian unskilled workers are sending much more money to Bangladesh in comparison to highly skilled work force in USA, UK or Australia. Jamaat may have lineage with Saudi Arabia but correct me if I am wrong:

Jamaat harbours Rajakars which I abhor;
Jamaat is the only Islamic party which did not support unbridled Fatwa by Khomeni but called for his trial for instigation of religious violence as was called by Saudi Arabia;
Jamaat is the political party against which all the other political parties are voiced but compared to their number of activists only a handfull of allegations of corruption has surfaced;
Saudi Arabian policy of Monarchism is supported by overwhelming number of their countrymen as they do not expects political turmoil as in Iraq or Bangladesh or Pakistan or even in the West;
Saudi Arabia is the country where their Monarchs ensured that Saudi Arabia became one of the highest grwoers of agricultural products when Bangladesh's politicians are keeping us hungry in such a fertile land;
Saudi Arabia is American Chamcha - then who is not??
Multiple marriages is totally allowed in every religion - show me one which does not..well Christianity? Sorry but it does not even allow divorce and unlike us who have been brain washed with over three hundred years of Western Rule (refuse to accept we are still out of it) - Saudi Women's view is different - they enjoy and celebrate their husband having multiple wives (rather than having threesome or foursome or five-some sexual foreplay in the West amongst lesbians and homosexuals) and we must respect their culture even if we do not like it.

Instead of being over-zealous and condemning Saudi Arabia - look at our own backyard - we are enjoying watching sickeing anti-cultural dramas like Nil Tepantorey - which is breeding extreme frustrations amongst many so called seculars as well - watch out we may have more religious fanatics brewings - it is also true that Maoists are coming from the West Bengal being supported by many cultural enthusiasts as they wish for bigger Bengal and we have already noted the sacrificial Nepal in the Maoist's altar. Ooops Myanmar and the North are also creeping in.

We have given chances to democracy and it has breeded nothing - it never works for a poor country - please read history. In the west democracy did not work until they became rich and education level rose. I refuse to accept that Mr. Jogodish Chandra Bosu's thoughtful vote should be wighed the same way as that of an illiterate+uninformed+ criminal's vote. Please jump to thinking that I am calling illiterate people as criminals.

Time has come to criticise constructively and with evidence and basic datas. You want to talk about westen view about women in Saudi Arabia _ I bet you are fuming to talk about that - please do so I am ready to refute that.

In the west the majority of the western medias are forcing the migrants to take Life in UK Test and Other tests..Why?? To ensure we know and respect and obet their culture before we apply to migrate. Please think wisely. I have appalling questions about your allegations about Saudi Aarabia. Well call me a Saudi Chamcha. At least they are not allowing GCSC to creep in and take over SSC HSC systems. We are breeding youth who can hardly read Tagore but can read Shakespeare and Tennyson at ease. There is no such threat in Saudi Arabia.

Time has come to give the true form of Islam a chance in Bangladesh - it does not have to be Jamaat - an honest, sincere, God fearing man to guide us. We Muslims need to be united to defend our rights (please do not start the hue and cry about terrorism). United Muslim Ummah does not mean sacrificing our national identities but we must also remember that nationalistic views were embedded by the west - please read dividing of Ottoman empire by the West. I think Gandhi understood their policy much better - look he was killed by a Hindu fanatic. Please do not forget Calcutta University did send a delegation to the British Rulers to stop founding of Dhaka University.

Alas _ I bet you are fuming!

Subject: [ALOCHONA] Middle East Recruiting - Saudi minister wants workers with knowledge of Saudi culture

Dear Friends
I hate to be a smart aleck but "knowledge of Saudi Culture"!!!!
What is that? Camel riding, multiple marriages, overt religiosity and covert debauchery............
Most Bangladeshi workers in the Holy Land are unskilled, where should they go to get a primer on hypocrisy. Could be a business oppurtunity for Jamaati types in our midstf or opening Saudi Culture enculcation Schools.
Robin Khundkar

Saudi Deputy Minister for Labour Ahmed Abdulraham Al Mansour Tuesday urged Bangladesh authorities to send workers with adequate knowledge about Saudi culture, lack of which, he said, often embarrasses both the sides.

He also called for sending skilled workers in keeping with the changed labour market that prefers skilled hands, holding out offer of assistance for skill building.

"We can assist Bangladesh in developing skilled manpower, if necessary," he told reporters after the Saudi-Bangladesh Joint Economic Commission (JEC) meeting in Dhaka.

Ahmed led the Saudi delegation while ERD Secretary Aminul Islam Bhuiyan headed the host team at the two-day 9th JEC meeting that concluded yesterday.

"Lack of knowledge about the rules and regulation creates problem," the Saudi minister said, adding that workers should also have proper appointment letters.

He noted that the Saudi labour market has changed a lot and authorities now prefer skilled workers.

Replying to a question, he said he would not bring sweeping charges against all the recruiting agencies that recruit workers to Saudi Arabia for cheating workers.

He, however, opted for ensuring transparency of the local recruiting agencies.

The ERD Secretary Aminul Islam Bhuiyan said the JEC had a fruitful meeting on bilateral issues, including manpower export, trade and commerce, economic cooperation, and tourism, labour issues dominating the talk.
