RE: [ALOCHONA] Re: Late SK MUJIB : Reality and Romanticism

Atrocities created by anyone whether BNP or AL or Joe Schmoe is
irrelevant here. Why does it cause irritation among any supporters from
either party when failures are pointed out?

Whether the father of the nation, a squanderer or a hermit, no one
should have a blank check under anyone's watch.

Accountability, a sense of decency, justice and a stern stand against
corruption indulged by one's own kind is what separate a great leader
from a failed one.

As a nation, it's time we comprehend our due credits and failures. Let's
cut to the chase -- every clown thus far had its turn. What is so
difficult to recognize that we need to hold everyone accountable for
his/her actions regardless how high a pedestal people held once?

Let's not split hair to such granularity that we become stubborn and
blind in nature. What we have here is our collective failure to
recognize that many countries are passing us by in this opportune time
as if we're standing still while we squabble over moral superiority of
BNP or AL.

We need new people, new ideas and corrupt-free minds -- period. You
can't teach an old dog new trick. Roll over Beethoven, you had your
chance!

Dear Dr.

whatever you wrote below is nothing other than the cheap
logics BNP and the other culprits have blabbered for so long. Yes,
there are a significant number of mistakes in the Seikh mujib
administration. Things could have been done differently. but
Bangladesh after '71 was a whole different experience even for the
most seasoned of politicians who were in the administrative positions
for the first time. None of us have to agree with every sinle
decision his administration made in the war -torn country. At the
same time, we have no bloody right to rip him of his due
respect.without bongobondhu there would not have been a bangladesh,
at least not so soon. my suggestion?? go back to your history books.
