[mukto-mona] Ref: Science and Religion: Reality vs. Emotion! My combined responses to TJ Khan and Mr. Avijit Roy.

Dear Moderator: TJ Khan's comment is self explanatory; unwarranted hostile behavior that needs to be addressed appropriately.  I hope and request you to consider posting the following in MM Forum. Thanks. Mohammad Gani, CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts, USA.

Ref: Science and Religion: Reality vs. Emotion! My combined responses to TJ Khan and Mr. Avijit Roy.
Mohammad Gani (USA).

To Mr. TJ Khan;

Professor TJ Khan; I am pretty much disappointed with the F- grade in my English course with you and if I would have known your exceptional academic brilliance in English literature, you are all round (around) squarely super genius and also that you are so conservative in awarding grades, I would then have begged for a "W" grade instead and run away real fast from you without a diiiiiiiploma.

Now sir, what exactly prompted you vituperating me fecklessly at personal level with your upscale roguery diatribes? Is there any good reason behind this stupefying and recalcitrant behavior? Is it only my English as second language proficiency (deficiency) that fomented all these loose-tempered anguishes? That's all????? Is it the true teaching of your (corrupted) wisdom? Do you know how much uncivilized and obstinate you have been without any provocation? Listen Professor; have some lessons from Mr. Avijit Roy's response to me and see the difference; will you?

Sir, why "Cambridge, Massachusetts" has caused your stomachache so badly? Welcome to Cambridge sir! Why have you targeted me at the personal level with all out "new-clear" garbage? Do you live in Cambridge too; I mean teach English in Harvard/MIT? If so, I would love to welcome you in my residence at 157 Pearl Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts 02139 for some ENGLISH delicacies. Sir, I have been living in Cambridge for last 26+ years. Please come clean about it with what exactly had in your roasted brain. Please do not ignore this request.

I see Mr.T J Khan, I look through your fierce, stony and ugly red face, I also see your hugely big mouth  and a long tongue like of a braking dog; starting from entrance to the exit of the Lincoln tunnel. What kind of Khan (Kahn?) you are sir, an original Pakistani one or amalgamated "Bangla Khan" (Like Bangla Kodhu, Bangla Kochu)? You must be an undocumented grandson or son of Tagore by wedlock; no wonder you are so obsessed with fatal attraction to him.

Who did tell you that you have no right to be critical on my opinion or of anyone else? Did I ever say that to you? Do I have the same right too? Have you ever, anywhere been critical on my OPINIONS at all, really?  Read your own scurvy intellectual garbage over and over again and check with your intellect of higher elevation or ask another close and crook friend to see if there was any constructive criticism on my opinions or were simply ranting me personally.

If you considered all these nothing but trash; why have you been as selective in picking on "The Quran only" as your target of opportunity? Didn't I mention few other religions too? Shouldn't you either leave all these alone or if had guts, should come up point by point with your ultra-superior logics to the readers?

Aren't you exactly on the top of the list of those suckers born every minute? How could you possibly call the readers suckers those have also the same rights those you have? How could you comprehend and consume the professional and erudite response of Mr. Avijit Roy either? Any comment sir?

I see your word dancing in coining sentences and that also could be of some helpful training for me too. You are a winner in English (with President Sword or Knight) and I do not challenge it! I am only a neophyte intern in English and have no problem in learning from you or others? Does it make you happy now, sir?

Listen brother, I mean step brother; before flipping your lips and delivering tawdry lectures in a public domain, check the following first; (1) If you have "a" wife ( I doubt, should have left long time ago) and you confronted her with this boiling temper, please do not immediately go to your PC. Take a deep breath, have some COOL-AID and lamb chop with 2 Advil tablets (250mg) and then take a nap before lecturing in a public domain. If you are a vegetarian, then fill up your tank with "ANIMAL" crackers. (2) Never deliver lecture with toothache; better go to a dentist first. (3) If you are intoxicated or UI (under influence) please take the following several hours off from lecturing garbage (4) and finally, as you are a sick and insane person; please see a specialist to feel your roasted brain. All these could help in bringing your veiled and wild symptoms under control.

Oh, I almost forgot! I have checked with the archives of  prestigious Times, Newsweek, The Guardian, The Bangladesh Observer, The Daily Star and few others to discover your prolific creations and I found NONE,  probably all these stupid had deleted your precious gems except few in Mukto-Mona which are 2000 years old (I mean 2 years old). Those were also erratic in nature and with your habitual volcanic eruption on Mr. Jahed Ahmed, Setara Hashem and few others with no substantive merit. What do have to show the readers those make you so proud of sir?

Finally, that's all (for now)! Please let me know how these taste. I am cooking some extra-hot and shall deliver upon your order sir. Good luck and enjoy!

                               ***************

To Mr. Avijit Roy.

Thank you for your noble mind and enlightening information. I read these with deep interest and shall indeed go through the rest over time. As you have rightfully mentioned, I was trying to combine philosophy of science and religion together and I still believe that these 2 could easily co-exist. I find some of your references inchoate, especially "something" from "nothing"; those concepts are still only theories like vulnerable fates of Drake equation and String theories. You indeed have noticed that I have no confrontation with science except with "some" poetic Astrophysics. As Mr. Stephen Hawking said in the 1st page of his "A brief history of time", "How much more do I exactly know than this old lady who still believes that the earth is supported by a big tortoise?" I believe in limitation of human brain and science's intervention to infinite universe, moving fast to infinite time and space. These are not precisely defined in science realm yet.

I also believe that religions have long established institution, family value and morality; important ingredients of human civilization toward humanity. The truth of religion is relative matter and not an absolute one and obviously religions are consistent in their projection of a dimension of the wonderful and mystical. Despite growing secularism of our time, religions remain an almost universal attribute of our family value, our culture and social life. Religions have long been the subjects of scholarly speculation and scientific investigation, for it most tantalizes exactly those people who do not subscribe them. Religious studies led many scholars to postulate a "Will to believe" which is not much of an explanation of why people believe. There is no doubt that religions try to explain much, but no religion tries to explain everything. That led me to conclude; questions that religious philosophy cannot answer about the nature of existence and the origin of God; just as there are many questions that scientists cannot answer about the nature and origins of physical laws. Clearly some do better then others but only the ignorant would dismiss the probability of God and His divinity just based on only theories of science.

Nevertheless, I must applaud your sincere attention and illustration on my opinions. I hope, distinguished MM readers shall now make up their own dispositions freely. I recognize the integrity and any sentiment on "subjects of interest" by any contributor except unprovoked personal attack like TJ Kahn did to me.

Also, I must appreciate your posting consideration (of my write up) in MM Forum even after (recent) short but rancorous feud; unless it is of any kindness to me. Moderators/editors have their absolute rights to decline posting but you indeed have crossed over revenge taking mentality, bridging coherent relationship with overall contributors. I have no bone of contention about that. Yes, once I thought of not sending any essay to MM but then immediately changed mind with my own conventional wisdom. I thought, running away with poisons could further corrupt my mind against MM. I did not think of winning or losing at this point.

I fully agree with your impression on religious forums but as MM is not one of them and   thus can not do what others do or practice. I was chased out several occasions for being critical on "Jamat" in Bangladesh politics, enemy number 1 of our freedom…….. as well as was branded as  Razakar by few in MM. I repudiate all form of militancy and do not accept fanaticism in any religion or political group. I strongly believe that these sentiments are obstacle to the progression of human civilization and to human rights. However, I should complain against selectively targeting only particular religion or group as scapegoat and letting others go free.

I also have blurry vision on MM's humanity approach and internationalism. I find it conflicting to patriotism that supports nationalism and thus democracy. I am having difficulty to locate democracy in internationalism that is backed by humanity. Does internationalism support patriotism and nationalism?  I mean, how could we divide the entire and universal humanity into many pieces and then call each piece a state/nation, then have love for "my one" and become a patriot for claiming/establishing democracy there! Does it make any sense to you? Internationalism/humanity does not promote patriotism, does it? Please write about it, if you have moments.

Mr. Roy, thank you again. At this moment, I have to exit; Mr. TJ Khan could knock my door any moment for more spicy "English dishes" and see, I could find more recipes for him.

Regards.

Mohammad Gani
