When i was in Bangladesh n December,2007 one of my relatives who was then in norther district as magistrate told me that Major. colonels have started taking bribe from criminals. Every month they pay 50,000-100,000 tk to the joint force office and remain safe.
I had nothing to disbelieve him as know him as a person who makes no false statement.
Recently published TIB report has proved him true. TIB report said that joint force has obtained money threatening people of torture.
But long term deputation of large number of army personnel in civilian position have opened scope of mass involvement in corruption.
Such mass involvement in corruption is dangerous for arm force and country.
So arm force ,joint force should be withdrawn immediately and get them back in cantonment.
Another thing. deputation of army personnel in civil positions is not Good for army, civilian and country.
So civil administration should take decision that if any army personnel invade any civil position, then no civilian,from top to bottom, will cooperate with the army personnel.
this should be the open secret decision of civil administration. this should be taught every civil servant during the training.
