[ALOCHONA] Etimer Taka Churi - How Low Can Our Politicians Go?

Tarek Zia, the future of BNP-Jamaat in Bangladesh, is under investigation for stealing and robbing money from many sources.  He has been accused of taking bribe to let go murder suspects.  Now the news of stealing orphan money is the most shameful of all.  But to some, his status will only go higher after this.

The followers of Zia usually pretend to be Islamic, but only the Almighty knows what kind of Islam they practice.  Allah issues stern warnings to those who misappropriate the wealth of orphans:

People who consume the property of orphans wrongfully, consume nothing in their bellies except fire. They will roast in a Searing Blaze. (Surat an-Nisa': 10)

Give orphans their property, and do not substitute bad things for good. Do not assimilate their property into your own. Doing that is a serious crime (or sin). (Surat an-Nisa': 2)

I remeber a 2001 pre-election deceptive ploy played by Badruddoza Chowdhury, now fallen from his Madam's grace.  He and his son had created a TV program to highlight and magnify AL era misrule.  In one segment he played very dirty.  He brought the Qu'ran and Gita to show the difference between BNP and AL.  Holding the Qu'ran in right hand and the Gita in left, he asked the audience, "Whom would you vote for?  The Qu'ran or the Gita?"  And what did we get in return?  What type Islam BNP-Jamaat tried to establish during their regime?

When politics and religion come together, religion doesn't clean dirty politics; politics makes religion look dirty instead.
