I am thankful to Dr Bains for his suggestion on the debate about Siraj-ud-doula, pre-British & British Bengal.
I do not think there is any need to carry on the debate as Dr Das too thinks that Muslim rule was an alien regime . R C Majumdar had great contrubutions in historiography and history-writing but I would never agree with him that Muslim rule was an alien rule.
Dr Bains overestimates my knowledge about history. Perhaps Dr Das read more on history than I.
Revisionism in history adds new dimensions but the readers as well as researchers should be on guard. You must have read or heard about the outrageous conclusions by P N Oak in his book, Tajmahal was a Temple Palace.Interestingly, Oak was not only a staunch supporter of RSS but on the staff of US diplomatic establishment in New Delhi.
I have no intention to carry on debating with Dr Das, at least on the issues, mentioned above. I hereby disengage myself from the debate.
