I have really got shocked reading this article by Yogi Sikand. It
is something that no sensible person can bear with. While the
government of India has every right to fight terrorism it should be
cautious enough in applying the methods to do the same. Nothing can
be as bad as state terrorism because in such a situation victims
become totally helpless. It is not expected from a country like
India that claims to be secular. What is the difference then
between theocratic Pakistan and secular India? I urge Indian
government and its law enforcing agencies to deal with terrorism in
such a way so that all innocent muslims can live with dignity and
with their heads held high. I also urge Indian media to apply more
sense in publishing reports so that the image of the muslim
community as a whole does not get tarnished.
