The Lalon sculptures and the sculptures dedicated to the Freedom war
and the champions of the Bangladeshi identity are not idols. Most
Bangladeshis are fine with sculptures except a few self deluded
fanatics, who prize a foreign culture. These sculptures represent
the creative spirit of the nation and are treasured by the people.
All Bangladeshis are not Muslims either and for some Bangladeshis
idol worship is part of their lives. So what if a sculpture is an
idol?
The people of Bangladesh fought in the muktijuddho to preserve the
Bengali identity against these fanatics and their masters. The
threats and attacks against the culture of Bangladesh in the name of
religion are made by the people who fought against the muktijuddho
and Bangladesh. They are enemies of Bangladesh. They are still the
dalals (agents) of their foreign masters.
I urge all Muktomonas to call them what they are: enemies of
Bangladeshi people and Bangladesh and dalals of Pakistan. These
harmful parasites should be boycotted and resisted at all levels.
