For ur kind consideration, Bangladesh don't follow any religious rules in Expressing her independency of economic & social view. Neither A country is a religious institution nor a nation follow its culture & heritage by religious rules. If that occured, then classical music would not be established by muslims of subcontinent, Sufi music & art couldn't be created in the hands of irani muslims or the modernization of sculptures discovered by the hands of Mughal & pathan muslims.
Bangladesh & Bangali nation have always denied religious pressures on her culture & heritage. Thats why we have liberate from Pakistanis. Bangali is practising her national culture (baul songs, hand made dolls, fair, jatra) for thousand years & still no power had been able to stop them. The urbanization of these cultures lead to modern sculptures, art, bengali songs, theatre & films. These r the elements of modern Bengali culture & we r introduced to rest of the world by them.
Who said that public bear the sculptures with pain? How can u explain that millions of people gather under these sculpture in every occasion? Because they express the power of our nationality & our social, cultural & political histories.
If these r encoraged to continue, we will see the same oppression by the talibans on public of Afgan in every home of our country soon. I reproach to this incident & demand that the sculptures to be restored at that place as soon as possible.
