This desease is not only Bangladesh but all over the world. Especially in less developed countries. By the way, that is why these countries are less developed.

Subject: [ALOCHONA] Energy, Financial and Food security should be the central theme for Bangladesh Election

Dear All,

Now-a-days world is changing per second with energy, financial and food crises and every country is working to secure their base.  Only exception is that Bangladesh political parties busy with "Mary Go Round", one day they are going to participate in upcoming election, next day they are not and trying to combine seats without any bold strategy to tackle the uphill battle to secure energy, financial and food supply in Bangladesh.

I have not heard any single solution from any major political parties how they will tackle the problem in energy, financial and food security in Bangladesh.  General people need to listen how each political party see these problems and how to tackle it and what will be the implementation process to reach their goal.  General people should elect who has better plan with implementation process to overcome those obstacle for Bangladesh.

I will tell you what I think should be the plan.

1) I would say drill, drill, drill.  Even though Bangladesh have few foreign interferences while plan to drill off shores,  we need to go ahead with plan to drill more in off shores.  We have to find credible companies to award to drill immediately, not those companies whose only have websites, but award them who has logistics to drill off shores.  Bring international community and China to build Nuclear power plant in Bangladesh to increase the electricity supply.

2) We have to have better plan to increase employment opportunity in Bangladesh.  I would put polices to bring more manufacturing industries in Bangladesh with providing low cost business opportunity with low cost manpower and decentralized the industries base from Dhaka.  Bangladesh should not only depend on Garment Industries to create jobs.  Pharmaceuticals, ICT, Ceramic, Ship buildings, exporting industries should give more importance to create more jobs in Bangladesh.

3) Bangladesh should adopt policies to use any single inches of any abandon field to grow rice, vegetable and other items as possible.  Govt should encourage to grow more food in locals to meet the growing food needs.

I am urging each political parties to focus in these three issues and how they plan to tackle it with implementation process with step by step.  We Bangladeshi are very good in lecturing other people but lack in ideas how to implement and how to reach the goal.

I will urge Change Bangladesh Organization (www.changebangladesh.org) to take the lead role to push major political parties to publish their strategic plans to handle the energy, financial and food security in Bangladesh before the upcmoing MP election.  Push them to focus what is more important than just securing nomination in the upcoming MP election.  I would urge Media to play vital role to disseminate the information what is lacking in political parties and force them to focus on important issues in Bangladesh.

As I am advocating for long time to put new blood in the political parties, I would urge each political parties to give nomination to credible, honest, educated, visionary individuals who will lead Bangladesh in 21 century.

God Bless Bangladesh and her people. "Country is First, Party is Second"
