I hope it is the same Kushwant Singh who wrote the History of the Sikhs, and
he has not grown senile. The conversion of Indians to Islam happened
through so many means, e.g., inability and unwillingness to pay the Zizya,
by fear of sword, persuasion, and last but not of least importance was the
lure of Houries and Gelman. The last one was used to convert the victors by
the vanquished after the sack of Baghdad.
