Some people mentioned that this man (Mr. Hannan) hold position as a Secretary. Can this be correct? If it is, God bless Bangladesh and her people. This man does not know the difference between a statue of a noble man and an idol of Gods and Goddess, used for worshiping. Of course, you will find portraits of his parents, grandparents, and children at his home. Also, you will find TV, Radio, etc. at his home. None of this is anti-Islamic. Yes, you will find, at his home, a picture of a structure (minerates or a black stone), which he worships most probably five times a day. These are all OK, but not the statue of a noble man. The objection to the statue is an excuse, the real reason is the messages this statue will propagate, which are: tolerance, religious harmoney, and secularism. All these are counter-messages to Islamic fundamentalism. Mr. Hannan said, Bangladesh is a Muslim country, and, he thinks, Muslim fanatics own Bangladesh. Mr. Hannan will probably support the demand for Hindu country in India. Dumb Hindus should learn from Mr. Hannan, the honorable former Secretary! Now, lets see, who can object to the statue of a noble man? The answer is: the only people, who have altered their minds through ignorant religious dogmas. The mind that alters, alters all (forgive me, I cann't recall who said this).
