[mukto-mona] Fw: [khabor.com] Fw: What These People Mean By Culture And Communalism: It Is An Old Charade To Fight Islam

People of Bangladesh are talking about culture which is modest among modest. In most cases vulgarism is almost absent in vast majority. On the other hand bigots like mufti Aminee and his goons who went out to the street to shatter Lalon sculpture is out to smash to smithereens my culture, my language, my religion and my history.

Lalon is no alien to my culture, his songs has made us strong as a human bean, more close to God who made us no different from one another. Bengali heritage is full of civility, we not only talk against covert Jamaati so called mufti named Aminee but we also talk about western aggression in our culture.

Religion is not against the culture but we have seen how things goes wrong when mullah's get a chance to govern a country or society. We haven't forgotten the history of thousand years old sculpture coming down in the mountains of Afghanistan in the hands of so called protector of Islam Taliban and their hoodlum Al-Qaida.

Those preachers of different culture of foreign land who can not stand with Lalon or other Bengali cultural icons better go and look what is happening in Mecca Saudi Arabia birth place of Islam and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Nudity and materialism is swallowing the monarchy which in first place is against the law of Allah and his Quran.

Why Muslim does not speak out against those unholy, anti Islamic, dishonest, anti humanity monarchy and dictators that cover most part of the Muslim map. Take them altogether and wipe them out if you want to talk against Lalon culture.

I agree with you when you say fundamentalist also has rights in the society but can you think that right in the birth place of Islam, Saudi Arabia for an atheist or an agnostic? The plane answer is absolutely not. Is any Saudi citizen allowed to change their religion from Islam to something else? The plane answer is absolutely not, you will be killed, and your head will be slashing out of your body in one stroke. If you want the world to see you equal why not you practice equal for others in your own domain?

See the pictures below and tell me if Islam still exist in the birth place of Islam? Blogger Mr. Syed Aslam provided these pictures in one of his posting which I am copying here.

 Mannequins in Macca
This picture is from a store in a mall located within 100 yrds of  Kabba Sharif. Many stores
in this mall displys different kinds of  Mannequins to attract customes to sell products, just
as you would see in any modern mall all over the world. [some even shows  "naked"
female breasts to display bra & brief sets, similar to the picture:

If you have visited Macca lately, you must have noticed that space around Kabba at
Masjid-al-Haram is now sorrounded by world class 5-star hotels and a very large western
style shopping malls. Now when you walk out of the Al-haram, all you see is malls and big
hotels.  Makkah is supposed to be a place of spirituality, not materialism.  Any kind of
spiritual benefit one gets from the Kaba gets easily lost the second he/she step out and
walk into these buildings.  All you see is people eating, buying, selling, you totally don't
feel like you are in Mecca.  Many people, go to Hajj taking it as if it is some kind of
vacation area, people want the best hotel, the best food, drink, comfort etc.  You must be
personally knowing Hajis who took advantages of cheaper gold in Makka and Madina.

Masjid al-Haram in May 2007, Mecca [ see the high rise malls and hotelsin the
background skyline] Have you ever seen the Jamaatis and bigots like  Mufti Fazlul
Hoq Amini or Saikhul Hadis Ajijul Haq ever protesting these "un-Islamic" practices
in Macca [Saudi arabia] ?

The Lalon sculpture is very much consistent with the tradition and culture of
Bangladesh. If use of  Mannequins can be approved in Macca Malls, why there is
so much fuss about the Lalon Sculpture at the  Dhaka Air Port?
It is another FACE of  POLITICAL ISLAM i.e the use of religion for
political purposes !

It fights with abuses in the name of culture. They should stop sreaming and work for creative and genuine culture zohurul islam ------------------------------------------------------------------------\ -------- ----- From: K. Raisuddin To: Khobor YG Sent: Monday, November 10, 2008 3:54 PM Subject: RE: [khabor.com] Fw: What These People Mean By Cuture And Communalism: It Is An Old Charade To Fight Islam Why Islam has to fight culture? Why Islam can not accept culture? Is culture bad? Does culture spoil any human qualities? Then why the voculists in favor of islam to defend only a brand of islam that is totally isolated from mainstream societies? Islam has to be ingrained in the mainstream society, where muslims are prdominantly majority. It is possible only when the current so called defenders of old style islam (taught by the madrasas) who are completely out of touch of the world, change their isolationalism and be ingrained the the mainstream societies of the world, trying to learn how the modern human society functions. Trying to concur the modern world and trying to push the societies 1400 years back is a mere dream. This is not going to work in this modern time. Most muslims in the world are not foolish to be so. The old fashion carrotism in islamic manu is not going to produce any benefit or progress for the humans in this world or hereafter. So, please think and do something that benefits humans, not just intending constantly to make own stocks heavier. This replicates selfish-ism. "Cultural spirit was a great inspiration for us during the liberation war. So, to purge the communal forces from the country, the cultural activists should carry on with their movement for a secular Bangladesh where rights will be equal for all," he added. Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural session of the convention, Prof Chowdhury also criticised the government for removing Baul statues from the roundabout near the Zia International Airport under the constant pressure of religious bigots. Sammilita Sangskritik Jote organised the programme at the Central Shaheed Minar in the city. Prof Serajul Islam Chowdhury said, "The promise of the liberation war was a secular democratic country where every citizen will get the equal right irrespective of age, sex, stripes and colour and religion, but we could not achieve as the anti-liberation fundamentalist forces carried out a conspiracy against the country and the state itself sponsored them.""Fundamentalism across the world is provoked by the capitalist forces for their own interests and Bangladesh falls victim to that, he said, adding that Bush declares crusade whereas Islamists declare Jihad to distract people from their own need of economic freedom."Presided over by Jote President Nasiruddin Yusuf Bacchu, the function was also addressed by Chief Coordinator of Sector Commanders Forum Lt Gen (retd) Harun-ur Rashid, former president of Duta Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique and artist Rafiqunnabi. We think that these cultural activists , a small part of the cultural world of Bangladesh, are themselves speading bigotry and extremism. They talk of extremism of others but they are asking to eliminate and purge communal forces from the country. What sort of double-standard is this ?What is this communalism against which they are threatening ? Those who know the use of vocabulary by the left and ultra-left in this country know well that they mean Islam .What is their culture ? Mostly it is vulgar dances and songs and statues and caricature of Islam, established moral and religious values. The people of Bangladesh know, not only they, what was the spirit of liberation war.The people have made the changes in the constitution through their representatives in the Parliament and referendum to reflect the true feeling of the people. These professors and others chorus for equal right is just another cover-up, the cnsttitution of Bangladesh guarantees fundamental rights equally to all. These people are bound to fail and knowledgeable people know their charade and evil tactics. Islam and its roots are very strong here and the strength is increasing by the day here in Bangladesh and the world. Islamists now understand the conspiracies of others. Allah willing, in this country left and ultra-secularists have no hope of success. This is the reason of their desperation and provoking the Muslim masses repeatedly by cartoon of the Prophet (sm), steps to block Madrasah stream of students from Dhaka university, building statue in the name of sculpture before the Hajj camp and many other ways, one after the other. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. ------------------------------------------------------------------------\ -------- Connect to the next generation of MSN Messenger Get it now! ------------------------------------------------------------------------\ -------- No virus found in this incoming message.
