Please correct your history.  Long before the advent of Islam, mighty Rome had broken down to two empires,viz., Rome and Byzantium.  Byzantium had its capital at Constantinople.  However, Muslims had always thought Byzantium as Rome, which only exposed their poor sense of geography.  There were two super powers during the rise of Islam, and they were Persia and Byzantium.  The former fell, as the emperor Amir Khasru was poisoned by his own children with ensuing war of succession.  The commander of the mighty Persian Army, after having killed his own son Sohrab, was disinterested in war and lost out to Khalid bin Walid.  Byzantium fell hundreds of years later, when the orthodox church found an ally in Islam.  Allah the almighty was never found to be involved in the Islamic conquests, even the war at Badr was won by a non revelation by a non believer who advised the prophet to protect the source of water, a pond nearby.

In those good old days, history went in favor of the Arabs.  Now the current of history is against.
