Not so fast, Jaffor Ullah. Here's a break-down of the place of origin
of the 10 Mumbai terrorists:

Three of them hail from Okara district in Punjab province, three from
Multan, two from Faislabad, one from Sialkot and one from Dera Ismail
Khan. It seems to me like the typical Punjabi operation we used to
witness in 1971. And all in the name of saving Islam!!

How is it that there isn't a single Kashmiri among the 10 if it is
really all about Kashmir being denied the privilege of becoming a
province of Islamic Pakistan?

Lashkar-e-Taiba talks about Kashmir only in the passing. If you read
its agenda, you'll see its primary interest is in a Caliphate for
Central Asia and for enforcing capital punishment to blasphemers!!

Furthermore, we need to be very careful because disappointments about
the dispensations during partition are not confined to Kashmir. What
about Chittagong Hill Tracts? Should terrorists from Myanmar/India be
terrorizing Dhaka to avenge the "injustice" of 1947?

Jaffor Ullah, in case you are unaware of the bitter reaction to the
Radcliffe Award of 1947 on Chittagong Hill Tracts, here's an URL for
a quick brush-up:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chittagong_Hill_Tracts

The award of the Chittagong Hill Tracts to Pakistan was so unexpected
that even Justice Mohammad Munir, a Muslim member of the Boundary
Commission said: "I was certain from the start that the Chittagong
Hill Tracts would be awarded to India." Obviously, it was against all
principles of justice, equity and fair play.

In fact, India's Deputy Prime Minister Patel had gone ballistic over
the award:

The Radcliffe Commission submitted its Report on the 9th of August
1947. At the Staff Meeting on August 12, there was a virtual
explosion and V.P. Menon, who was a confidant of Sardar Vallabhbhai
Patel, reacted most violently when it came to be known that the
Chittagong Hill Tracts was going to be given to Pakistan. The
following day, on August 13th, the All India Congress Committee
issued a declaration alleging that the award "lacked all sense of
justice, equity and propriety" and, therefore, it was "ineffective,
infurctuous and incapable of execution in international
consciousness". Sardar Patel wrote an angry letter to Mountbatten
expressing his indignation, calling the Radcliffe award "monstrous
and a blatant breach of the terms of reference". He warned that "I am
urging the tribesmen to resist amalgamation with Pakistan by force,
if necessary". He was indeed a great patriot and a staunch
nationalist.

Well, Jaffor Ullah, aren't you glad that Myanmar/India are not
inciting terrorists to wreak havoc on Dhaka?

Pakistan has absolutely no interest in championing the cause of a
small Muslim community of a few million in Kashmir. In fact,
Pakistan's army had murdered more Muslims in East pakistan than the
entire Muslim population of Jammu & Kashmir in 1971!!

Pakistan's problem is very very basic & fundamental. Pakistan's
army/ISI couldn't care less about Kashmiri Muslims. Their terrorist
action stems from their irredentist dreams that sees themselves as
inheritors of the mantle of Muslim Emperors of yore. They are stoked
by mullahs dreaming of the Pakistan flag flying atop the Red Fort in
Delhi. It is best not to absolve such racist/imperialist dreams by
invoking Kashmir as an excuse. Pakistan's military was bent on
fighting in East Pakistan to the last Bengali. And today they are
bent on fighting to the last Kashmiri. Let's not bless their unholy
goal.

The first task before ordinary Pakistanis is to liberate themselves
and establish rule of law in their own country. Gory adventures
abroad are a distraction promoted by its military/ISI.
