No doubt you have categorized S A Hannan's position properly. He is a friend-philosopher and guide to the Jamati War Criminals and Rajakars. He should also get his due along with others.
Mr. Asghar, you have expressed doubt about their trial and questioned about the political will of the politicians. This is not right and fair. We must keep our trust on politicians. Only it is the political government/politicians can ensure the trial.
Delay in trial does not mean the end of our aspiration for trial. International and national situation that barred the trial so far could only be possible through organizing determined-public opinion. That opinion has at last taking a shape to create a national consensus for the trial of the War Criminals and the Rajakers. A favorable world opinion is also created. Hope the new government of Sheikh Hasina would soon take all legal actions for the trial of the Rajakers and War Criminals in country's Special Tribunal and also try in the International War Tribunal under the UNO in appropriate cases.
The ball has started rolling. Let us work at home and abroad to create tremendous public opinion so that the long awaited trial is held and the criminals get their due. Instead of labeling blame on the politicians we as a nation must create an atmosphere which would help the political government to translate the hope of the people into reality.

Those who defend criminals are equally criminals. Shah Hannan belongs to this category. Therefore, he should also be tried along with other criminals for the crime they committed in 1971.
But who will put them on trial? Do the leaders in Bangladesh have the political will to do this?
I have my doubt. People like Shah Hannan have friends and well-wishers in high positions in Bangladesh and its political leaders have no courage or stomach to take them on. This is really sad for the people of this unfortunate country.
