Dear friends,
1970, we
under the leadership of our leader Bangobandhu Sheikh Mujibar Rahman won the general
election. Awami League won 160 seats (all are from East Pakistan) and Pakistan
Peoples Party under the leadership of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto won 81 seats (all
from West Pakistan). Mentionable that NAP
Bhasani under the leadership of Mawlan Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani didn't
participate in the election!!!
The
results shown that East Pakistani Awami league won 160 national assembly seats
out of 300. Mentionable that the assembly seats of East Pakistan were 162 where
as West Pakistan was only 138. It is clear
that if Mawlana Bhasani were participated in the election the results might be deferent
then also the majority seats of national assembly of Pakistan would captured by
the East Pakistanis.
Actually under that circumstance
there was no possibility that a West Pakistani Party would won any general election
of Pakistan.
The only solution were to separate the two sites of Pakistan. For this reason, Mr.
Bhutto demanded for two Prime Minister System which was nothing but killing democracy. But Bangobandhu didn't claim so as legally only he had the right to become
the PM of whole Pakistan.
In conclusion, we can say that our
independence (break of Pakistan)
was the results of killing democracy by the then East Pakistani Military &
Political leaders.
