Re: [ALOCHONA] We are the masters of our own destiny

That's exactly the point I have been trying to get across, Ezajur bhai. People like Munshi, Firoz, et. al. are too busy to blame RAW and cover up for ISI and its BNP/razakar allies. I think, both RAW and ISI are responsible for many past and present instabilities in the country. ISI funds the Freedom Party, Jamaat, and BNP's arm shipment to fight proxy wars in Assam, Nagaland, and Tripura. RAW funds some of our AL politicians and local reactionary groups to keep the govt. on its toes, and fight ISI elements in the country, as well as keep the tension high with Myanmar. Either way, we are a strategic and intelligence battleground for these two countries. That's why we need to normalize relationship with both countries. As long as they find us unstable and exploitable, our democracy won't stand on solid ground.

When AL came to power this time, they had a mandate. So far, the PM and her close advisors, all of whom should be replaced to begin with, have proven that they are still not competent enough to fulfill that mandate. The first person who should be replaced is the Home Minister! The BDR massacre was (is) is a test for the resolve and authority of the present govt., and chances are, they will simply squander away this opportunity to reorganize the armed forces, root out razakaars and terrorist groups, and strengthen its position in peoples mind. I am not confident that these investigations would produce much. They will find some low-ranking sepoy and habildars to persecute and execute (Major Zia style), and the big fishes will swim away. I hope, for our sake, that I am wrong.

Subject: [ALOCHONA] We are the masters of our own destiny

Dear Alochoks

Bringing Pakistan ISI and India RAW into our equations really does complicate matters!

I simply cannot work out the golden rule which would make one of these two countries innocent and the other guilty.

So I'd like to make the following statements:

Many of us accuse the ISI without any reference to RAW. As if the RAW is a friend of Bangladesh .

Many of us accuse RAW without any reference to ISI. As if the ISI is a friend of Bangladesh .

RAW is not a friend of Bangladesh . It works only for the interests of India .

ISI is not a friend of Bangladesh . It works only for the interests of Pakistan .

There are rogue elements within the ISI. There are rogue elements within the RAW.

Both RAW and ISI have hostile agents and hostile activities in Bangladesh .

RAW and ISI are engaged in a secretive proxy war in Bangladesh .

Bangladesh is the second front in hostilities between India and Pakistan .

If RAW was involved on 25/2/09 then ISI will know. And ISI will respond on Bangladesh soil.

If ISI was involved on 25/2/09 then RAW will know. And RAW will respond on Bangladesh soil.

Rogue RAW agents can pretend to be rogue ISI agents and pay murderers to do a job.

Rogue ISI agents can pretend to be rogue RAW agents and pay murderers to do a job.

Basically – there are no rules and no boundaries.

We are the masters of our own destiny and we can't blame others for exploiting our own stupidity.

Regards

Ezajur Rahman
