These are my compilations of the relative economic strength of the economies of Bangladesh and India including the individual states of the latter country. Since I am no expert in the use of statistical data I am not sure of the accuracy of the economic information that has been produced. They seem wrong to me since the only state in the whole Indian union that is performing better than Bangladesh is Maharasthra. Surely that could not be correct. Could someone please verify and explain to me where I went wrong and provide me with the correct data and information?
The 2008 estimates come from the CIA Factbook on India and Bangladesh and is available on the internet. The economic data of the individual Indian states comes from the Directorate of Economics & Statistics of respective State Governments, and for All-India -- Central Statistical Organization
