Come on Ezajur bhai, despite all the negative assertion, how come still you would give HMC a clean bill.
 
Whether he can be called an icon or not I wouldn't go into that argument but my assertion is all he did as a part of machination to adopt a new format that would have no place for our current politicians. Their legacy on corruptions and misrule used as yard stick. Notice the initial expectation among the general public. Today it had evaporated in thin air and the country is back to square one.
 
His personal image being used to run the position (I am not much bothered about his persoanl loan, housing etc. as none of us in BD can live without a pinch of those) but while he could have done better yet he had done what his masters had directed him to do within the given scope.
 
One example can be derived from the episode is yes under a circumstance you can punish all mighty Hasina and Khaleda and their psychopants.
 
Daily Star and its affiliates so far very successfully doing all their machination in thier desired way.

Man all these BNP and AL guys never talk about the law and process unless its about somebody else outside their own party!!
Hasan Mashud Chowdhury is an icon.
Even if he did build a wall a couple feet outside his boundary and paid a few bucks as a penalty?!
Even if he accepted an appointment without due process in a country where due process means nothing?!
Even if he locked up known criminals without a trial?!
Even if he visited the offices of a newspaper whose owner may be corrupt?!
Even if he knew that Moeen couldn't make the country entirely corruption free?!
What are you talking about Mahathir? What are you talking about? He is the Clint Eastwood of Bangladesh. I know Bangladeshi Clint Eastwoods are all about gram er ghotoks and dalals and shoshurs.
Hasan Masud Chowdhury made criminal Bangladeshis realise for the first time that its possible to be punished on this earth - even if for a short time, even if without trial. SUBHAN ALLAH!
Trouble with us Bnagldeshis is we have no idea what justice looks like or feels like.
If we did we would realise that we are lucky that dozens of politicians were not killed during the last two years. 
And that, according to 25/2/09, the worst is yet to come for our beloved Bangladesh.
