SIR HANNAN - A FORCE NOT TO WASTE ....
Whatever ppl say fact remains Sir Hannan represents the intellectual leadership of Political Islam in BD. He is in a position to eliminate at least some of its evils much faster that we can. Here are few examples.
1. During Taslima's case in India he expressed that none has the right to take law in hand. He should call the nation to stop the ShariaBaaj mullas who take law in hand and destroy women through sharia courts. I have many such recent cases saved.
2. He believes there is no wife-beating in Islam. He should call the nation to stop it in Islam's name.
3. He believes there is no killing of apostates in Islam. Probably he also agrees to the fact that apostasy is a self-action, nobody can and has the right to declare anyone apostate. He should call the nation to stop those barbaric ShariaBaaj mullas who habitually preach hate and violence to any opposing view.
It is not too much to ask him to act on his Islamic belief. His inaction today will destroy more women tomorrow and bring more bad name to Islam. It is shame that in his own village no woman got any inheritance in last 400 years. He is in a position to stop this injustice just by launching a call, creating a volunteer-force and residing there for sometime to make sure women are robbed their rights anymore.
We do have differences but we also have common grounds too!
