[ALOCHONA] No friend in sight.

Pakistan is the only country created in the name religion that forced on the British colonial India in 1947 which led to a massive communal riot resulting in colossal loss of life and property and a legacy of perpetual mutual hatred in the subcontinent. Since then Pakistan was sustained on the boggy of Islam and was loved and supported by the entire Muslim world. Being the usual supporters of corruption and undemocratic practices the Muslim world nurtured Pakistan in the true spirit of their traditions. Saudi Arabia, the leader of the so called Muslim ummah has been a great contributor to the Islamic cause which played a pivotal role in encouraging the fundamentalist ideology in Pakistan. At this time Pakistan is fighting for its survival against an enemy mostly created by Pakistan itself. In this unexpected and unprepared war Pakistan seem to be alone without any real friend not even in the Muslim world. This civil war will not end in peace nor will it bring any real victory. This struggle against a vicious enemy who survives in the name of Islam is shaking the very foundation of the state. The most ominous part of the problem is that Pakistan does not have a real ideological basis as a nation. The boggy of Islam which was used to sustain the state after the partition of India in 1947 is not working anymore. In this war Pakistan is alone and with very limited resources she will not be able to continue this struggle for a long time. The nation will be weaken and dismember gradually.

The basic foundations of Pakistan as a nation are weak and during the last 60 years no real step was taken to create a solid national ideology. Incessant military dictatorships, political corruption and lack of democracy created a void in the national psyche. A sense of belongingness which promotes national integration is non existent. The survival of Pakistan as a nation is at stake.
