How come a few DGFI top guys are meeting with the wives of the imprisoned teachers
at this stage? I don't understand. The DGFI was the accuser, the local police was the
procecuter, and the case went through a "judicial" process. Is DGFI still in control of the
matter ? Can you elaborate?
As far as I know, even in any civil or military judicial process the accuser contacting the
"convicts" or their relatives is not allowed? Can you tell us what is going on?
No matter how much rhetoric we hear about "independent" judiciary, there is no shortage
of subservient and biased judges in out country. Do you think Fair Trial of any accused
is possible in our country?
Hats Off to Malay Kumar Bhowmik, Dulal Chandra Biswas, Selim Reza Newton, and
Abdullah Al Mamun holding their heads high by not bowing to the pressure.
I believe that the President has shown amnesty to 4 convicted teachers unconditionally, not
because of his (or the stablishment's) generosity, but because of the fact that the case was
clearly ill-motivated would not hold in higher court(s). The DGFI and the establishment
should express regret and apologise for harassment of the teachers.
