[vinnomot] Dr Rajendra Kumar Pachouri won Nobel Peace prize for 2007 with Al Gore

Dr Pachouri is famous environmentalist and this is the recognition of a grim fact that unless we control our environment now onwards, our future is doomed. South Asian countries like India, Bangladesh, Burma, Thailand would be suffering more-since we have failed to adopt to scientific methods for living a better life due to population pressure and poverty.

Environmental group in India and Bangladesh is too weak. We are worried about local politics which is also an outcome of pressure on resources and badly enough such pressure is being released in the form of communal, ethnic and political violence.
