It is a national issue to punish the war criminals. We must have unity to punish the war criminals. There is no law existing in Bangladesh that says that, war criminals can't be prosecuted. Why the temporiry/caretaker government should do this job while their tenure is limited until the end of 2008 ? Let the next elected government do this job for the greater interst of the republic and its people.
We know that all previous governments( post independent Tajudding led government followed by Mujib led Awami league and BAKSHAL government, Mushtaque Government, Zia led BNP government, Ershad led JP government, Khaleda led BNP government, Hasina led government indirectly supported by Jamatis, Khaleda led governmernt supported by Jamatis)did not prosecute then. Why this huge job should be done by temporary government of Dr. Fakhriuddin Ahmed ?
We waited for 38 or so years ,why we cannot waitr few more month for a new elected government to prosecute the war criminals. In addition to try the war criminals we should also try the leaders/politicians of all previous government;s who ignored this trial.
