This allegation of Prothom Alo seems strange.
 
Of any business the CEO/Directors /Chairman / Presidents/ VPs travel on company's expense to further business - what is new about it.
 
It is true for governments and ministries also.

Assalamu Alaikum.This is a malicious propaganda against Islami Bank Bangladesh ltd  and myself by an old critic of this bank.
 
Some travels by its Directors have brought enormous benefit to the country, its share holders and depositors.Yhe bank has topped the list of remittence from outside.It has helped the country in foreign exchange reserve build-up.
 
These remittances have  also increased the fee income of the bank by many times which will benefit the depositors, share holders and also more income-tax for the government.
 
The Bank has more than sixty person share of the foreign sponsors.Naturally if the foreign Directors  get  air ticket and hotel expenses when they come.This is known to the Bangladesh bank from inception (1983).
 
My name has been unnecessarily brought in .I as a Chairman attended IDB governors annual meeting on their invitation ( which is a regular duty of the Chairman), and another time on the invitation of IDB President to Jeddah and once to Malaysia to attend IFSB (Islamic Financial Services Board) in Malaysia at the time of its in auguaration.This is most probably all in my six years in the Bank.I
 
I will be requesting the governor Bangladesh Bank to launh an investigation for malicious propaganda against the principal bank of the country and also against me personally.I can only pray that God may punish the liars and maligners.
