Dear Mr. Ejazur
We have been bickering about this subject for long and I think it is time to close it.
I know you felt hurt with my last posting. It was very intentional on my part. I wanted to tell how it feels when you try to castigate people for their opinions. Go back to your postings and see how you have rebuked people for words they have not even uttered. I am reading your postings for long and I will only advise you to respect the opinions of others and don't try to impose your opinions on other. Gai'r Zoor will not work. Win people with your argument. Though intentional, I am sorry for hurting your feelings.
Coming back to the topic, you have said that "a reformed AL without Hasina or reformed BNP without Khaleda should form the next government". May I ask you how many reforms in AL and BNP have been made in the last 14 months or so? There are even no signs of it. With the status quo lingering, do you suggest the present situation to prevail for indefinite time. You asked me when I want elections in the country. I have a counter question. When you want elections?
If I analyze all the postings in this group, I find that the handful supporters of this CTG don't even live in the country. Because, they cannot appreciate the ground reality. KOTO DHANAY KOTO CHAIL, they don't realize.
Hardly I have noticed any posting by anybody living in Bangladesh and be a "blind" supporter of the present CTG. Remember; more than 90% people supported the CTG when it took power in Jan. 2007. Did you ever ponder why the popularity of this Government has eroded away so fast? Everything depends on economics. There are dearths of jobs for young's (this situation has gone worse from bad). There is no improvement in law and order situation, economy is sluggish. Above everything, the price of common commodities is shooting up. There is no limit to it. I cannot say much but it doesn't give a very good taste when you or people like you want to continue with the present situation.
Every sensible citizen of Bangladesh know the role of AL and BNP in creating the present situation. We don't want to go back there. We even don't want to think and talk about it. We are hopeful about the present and we are optimistic about our future. But in reality is it so? Tell me how many times the CTG and Election Commission have tried to assure about election roadmap. Even they also realize that people don't trust them anymore.
For the sake of argument only, you have mentioned about more than a million Bangladeshi workers working in the Middle East. You, being one of them. I respect them for their contribution to the national economy. I know most of them are under-paid. I also know that they were cheated by manpower agents –who have political blessings. But may I know what is happening in Saudi Arabia today? Why the present CTG is mum when about 2 million poor workers are being harassed for stupidity of handful of people. Don't you believe that CTG has a role to play here?
You posed a question to me about the right path. My opinion is very clear and very loud. If this CTG or for that matter any future Government cannot manage the show, cannot fulfill people's aspirations, they should leave power immediately. There is no second thought and no second choice. We are a poor nation. For heaven sake don't add to our miseries.
In the end I will say, to be ambitious is good but to be over ambitious is dangerous. We have seen enough of Ayub Khan, Yahya Khan, General Zia and General Irshad. Enough is enough Gen.Moin. For Heaven sake, spare us. Don't punish us, the Bangladeshi nation, for the follies of the political parties. Please go back to your barracks.
