Re: [mukto-mona] M J Akbar sacked

WRT: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mukto-mona/message/47232

1. Three principles of communication are: be precise, concise, and inconspicuous.
Some one in from the forum justifiably warned against too long a post. But Kamal Das is too concise. He is conspicuous too. He is too concise to merit any judgment on his preciseness. "M. J. Akbar should have been sacked long ago. He is a closet fundamentalist
as evident from the books he authored." What can one make out of it? This short statement has been made as a reaction to a great article titled "Owners matter, editors don't" by a great journalist named Khushwant Sing. Both Singh and Akbar are great journalists from the secularist 'ghorana'.

2. Before making such a strong comment on such a serious matter, Kamal Das should have elaborated a little bit for the benefit of the 'uninformed' or 'not properly informed' readers. We readers cannot keep track with every thing and as such miss so much about the latest developments.

3. Kamal Das might respond to my post by saying that it is my problem, not his. Still I would request him to give us at least some tips so that we can help ourselves.
