How does it matter if you laugh or cry, probably sitting somewhere in
the USA and reaping the fruits of western civilization! It is the
poor people of India, who happens to be muslim, are bearing the brunt
of the islamists. Islamist may be a new term but its purpose is to
focus our attention to the same culprits who existed since the dawn
of islam.
S. A Hannan et. al. are well-defined islamists but they thrive on a
large pool of pretentious intellectuals. These intellectuals feel,
intrinsically, their not-so-advanced ego being comfortably massaged
by islamists. This coexistence is catastrophic for the poor people of
India. When a non-muslim joins the gang, it even tends to legitimize
wrong-doings. It even made you irrational to credit Dr. Sikand's
writings, assuming that a non-muslim talking good about islamists
must be doing something divine. Your humbug word about Sikand
that "His Ph. D. is from a reputable University in UK and I believe
his dissertation was on the rise and growth of the socio-religious
movement of Tablighi Jamaat…" is the usual ploy (beautifully
discussed by Richard Dawkins in his books) to shut down people who
wants to expose the hollowness of a religious belief.
Unfortunately you merely talked about Yogi's greatness without
delving into the audacity of the maulavi's islamist-talk that Yogi
thought so highly about. It is no wonder that we are still so
marginalized.
