The rotating cylindrical cage is an interesting but not very uncommon experience. Here the wall experiences centripetal force towards the center. The unbound person standing against the wall every moment moves tangentially (Newton' first law of motion) while the wall continuously moves towards the center because of the centripetal force, and that's how the person rotates along with the cylinder. That's why the person feels a push inward, but he is not actually thrown onto the wall of the cylindrical ride. Inward push on the riding person is, however, equal and oppositely directed to the outward push the person exerts on the wall (third law). [It simply describes the person's experience relative to a non inertial reference frame.] Such a fictitious force is not required to explain the motion if the observer is not a part of the rotating system. --SC __._,_.___
