Dear Alochoks,
There is a very important concern that has been raised on this
subject and that is in the last few months certain group of people
in the middle east trying to discredit Bangladeshi workers. They
are trying to protray that all workers of Bangladeshi origin are of
dishonest nature and Bangladesh is corrupt and lawless country.
While the head of Bangladesh military was visiting middle east this
issue was raised by the Arab media. The important questions are -
what the current Bangladeshi government is doing about this? Are
they aware of a systematic campaign by a groups of people in the
middle east? And most of all what can we NRBs can do to dispel this
myth?
This is very important for the future of Bangladesh. This kind of
false accusation can not be taken on the chin without some civilised
debate, protests and discussions.
I request all alochoks from middle east to participate in this
discussion and write about their experiences in the middle east.
