A CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS AND ABSTRACTS
The Nigerian Humanist Movement is calling for paper and oral presentations at a conference to be held in October 2008 in Imo State in Southern Nigeria
Theme: Combating Osu Caste System and Untouchability in Nigeria
Sub-themes Why Untouchability, Osu Discrimination and human rights, Osu Caste System and the Nigerian Law, Humanism and Untouchability, Untouchability in Other Cultures, Why Osu caste system persists, How to eradicate Untouchability in the Society etc
The organizers are particularly interested in hearing from victims of Osu caste system and Untouchability in Nigeria . We welcome all presentations that highlight the human rights abuses that individuals and communities suffer or are subjected to in the name of this cultural scourge
