What I hear from the report of Yogi Sikand is: blame America and India for everything that happened to Pakistan. As I know, Pakistan joined American block not by force but by choice to counter Soviet influence in India. India was in the Soviet block but never lost her democratic tradition. Pakistan could have done the same if they had passion for democracy. Where is the self-criticism? Where were all those Pakistani politicians, who are blaming others today for their military political tradition? Without exploring their own shortcomings, they are playing victims. With this kind of victim mentality, Pakistani democracy may not go very far.
