In response to all who hold Taslima Nasrin in high esteem, like
Tistarbahe, you may hold to your opinions but the fact remains that
she is despised for her views and writings in her own homeland. In
history there are many characters who could not find a place in
their own homeland - the Shah for one.Praises are being heaped on
her, including degrees like PhD by those who like to see discontent
in our society. Specially if the heat of that discontent does not
touch their lives - living safely in a far away country. If you
assert that her writings are one of the best you have read then you
should meet and discuss also with those who find her writings no
better than filth. What freedom you are speaking of where she is
being flung by one country after another? There will always be a
minority who will support characters like her who sow discontent.
She has not done any favour to her own kind - women - by her
writings. I have also seen young minds who abhore her for her
writings, educated women included.
