1. Do we really need to know the religious, political, or any other identity of the people who are running the Mukto-mona yahoo-groups? I don't think it is at all necessary to intervene in their internal affairs. As outsiders we should be happy to see that the management is maintaining an environment in which every one is able to express his opinions without any hindrance from any side. If an atheist feels comfortable in working with a believer in a team, I don't have any problem. Anti Muslim, anti Islam and anti Muhammad posts are regularly being published in this forum. I have never seen Hasan Mahmud trying to obstruct those. He must be a believer in free thinking and rational debates. His great mission is to fight Shariah courageously. I have seen a great anti Sharia short film "Silent Genocide" based on a story written by him. We should be tyhankful to him for his great movement.
2. Hasan Mahmud is right when he says, "Our lives are full of contradictions." We should not demand every thing from everybody. Everybody has his own limitations. Sometimes we have to live in diversity. An atheist may not think it wise to divorce his believer wife or quit his religious parents or other close relatives. This is life. An atheist communist "Stalin" must not be preferred to a believer "Gandhi" to run a free thinking forum. While the former is the most intolerant political animal, the latter is a most tolerant and absolute pluralist.
I think we should welcome those who allow us to speak our minds. That is mkost important.
