Voila! Here's another bit of arrant balderdash from a self-
styled "independent journalist" who is convinced that women are more
oppressed in the west than in South Asia.
Yes, there have been acid attacks on women in the West and these
continue to happen. There are fatwas on their heads as there was
(possibly still is?) on Dr Taslima Nasrin in Bangladesh and there are
mobs that go out to lynch women like Indian Muslim League MPs tried
to do to Dr Nasrin in India. Women get dragged before stadia and shot
like in Afghanistan or have their throats slit like in Pakistan.
Western women are killed brutally in so-called "honor killings" by
western men. Yeah, right. This, of course, is sent in with my tongue
firmly ensconced in my cheek!
Mohammad Golam Nabi has now spoken. I would suggest that he keeps
wallowing in the muck that he is in and tries to avoid making a
further spectacle of himself.
