Thanks to both Mr. NNSarkar and Bhajan Sarkar for their thoughtful
comments. I realize Bhajan's concerns. Let me say clearly that it is
not my agenda to find and propagate the absolute truth of Islam - none
could do that in 1400 years and none will be to do it in 1400 million
years.
Meanwhile religious-violence, for lack of better word, is
like a burning home. What we do when our homes are in flames? We
immediately put it out in any way we can - and address theological
issues later. All of world's intellectuals are working in talks,
writings and actions on the front of violence of their interest and
expertise. Islam is mine. Of all roots of violence, religion is most
difficult to uproot.I minutely studied the successful struggles of
Pundit Ishworchondro, Dwarkanath and Keshob Shen to uproot Sati and
allow widow-marriage - and learnt a lot from them. Religious violence
can be uprooted by three means - and I have taken up the strongest one
- compiling a better explanation from the same religion.
This
is the only form of Islam that destroys human lives, dignity and
rights. That is my field of work against a huge, resousceful, cunning,
cruel and strategic opponent. It main, only and deep weakness is its
fraud with islam - and no fraud sustains - it cannot survive our
assault on that front if we are strategic. Meanwhile struggle of
freethinking must go on in every field including if "Rreligion is
insult to human intellect"- Voltaire.
As of now I have no
substitute of Islam for myself. It is the central strength of my battle
against the devil and I am sure to win.
