Dear Friends, Many of you e-mailed me from different parts the world upon hearing the shocking news of Robert Dunn's death. I appreciate your mails. Thank you. Your condolences and concerns will be available on the Shabdaguchha website (members.aol.com/shabdaweb) a new page which will be opened in memory of this rear man, "a poet who was not just for himself." Moreover, Shabdaguchha and Cross-cultural Communications will jointly arrange a memorial reading in mid November. You will be notified as soon as the date and time is fixed. I would also like to thank Hal Sirowitz, former Poet Laureate of Queens, Stanly H. Barkan and Leigh Harrison for passing the details about Robert's death and consoling me over the phone. The following is being done in memory of Robert Dunn: 1. I am writing a piece (in Bengali) the Daily Sangbad Literary Supplement ( 2. An obituary will be published in the next issue of the Shangskritik Kabar (Kolkata), a poetry magazine, edited by Kajal Chakraborty. I already sent Robert Photo upon the editor request. 3. I will say a few words and read a poem of Robert on the New Year's Alternative Marathon Poetry reading at Bowery Poetry Club. The event is arranged by Bruce Weber. 4. Shabdaguchha will publish a piece and print a few of Robert's unpublished poems in the forth coming issue. In the mean time, the following memorial readings are already scheduled by Robert's friends.
