Most Muslims have a sense of religious identity that segregates them from
the rest of the society. Geographical Nationalism is often secondary to
them, the religious identity being primary. South Asia has the largest
chunk of Muslims. Their holy places are in K. S. A. and Iraq. An average
Muslim child spends most of his available time in learning religious
education and performing sacred duties. As a result even the countries in
the middle east with mineral resources are poor in human resource. Religion
is the 'Holy Cross" that a believing Muslim bears until he rests in peace.
No progress would be possible without secularization of religious
communities.
