I am really ashamed seeing the endless bickering between reputed
members. I have repeatedly addressed all the parties not to use
abusive adjectives while they send response to others. Both Jaffor
Ullah and Mehul is personally known to me and they are both
significant figures in ongoing freethought and progressive
movement. However, the endless quarrel between them will only
strengthen no one else but the hand of fundamentalists. We surely do
not want that. Previously not only I, but aprthib and others also
argued in this forum not to use abusive language, but it looks all
of our effort went in vein. This is my last instruction on this
matter. If someone violates our guideline (http://www.mukto-mona.com/new_site/mukto-mona/muk-guidelines.htm ), I will take the
necessary action.
I must say that Mehul's last post was not inline with MM guideline.
Mehul should be careful approving such post in future. Personally, I
think we should get over with this personal `liking' or `disliking'
of "Obama mania", rather we should focus on the issues and promises
that republicans and Democrats offer in this election. While talking
with both Mehul and Jaffor Ullah, I noticed that both agree that
they are not happy with the rules of republicans in last eight
years, and both want a significant change. Both of them knows how
Bush administration abused science in academia, how republican
policies went against women emancipation, gay rights etc. The
economy and the lives of millions of uninsured Americans are also
the matter of concern for them deep inside in their heart. I am not
sure how just personal liking or disliking of Obama can be any issue
which let them involve in endless bickering using very abusive
words. Thesis not only childish, but also is damaging the reputation
of our forum significantly. I hope I do not have to address this
anymore.
