Greetings from Action on Disability and Development (ADD)!
ADD is a UK based non-profit development organization working in Bangladesh since 1995 to promote the rights of persons with disabilities. Presently ADD operates in 28 districts, building the capacity of disabled people and promoting their rights through advocacy. Boosting capacity of the PWDs and DPOs is one of the prime objectives of ADD through its strong Capacity Cultivating Thematic Group having experienced and highly skilled professionals.
To further enhance the capacity of disabled people as well as development sector, the first training course has been organized on 9-11 Nov 08. Getting overwhelming response from NGO's, ADD will organize another three-day long training course on 'Self-help Group Development and Leadership Role' for workers and managers of DPOs/NGOs at ADD Training Centre (ATC) in Rajshahi from November 17 to 19, 2008. ATC is ADD's own training/residential centre, well equipped with suitable amenities.
ADD has gained accolades by providing such trainings to our partners and colleagues in the development arena. Now, we are confident that this can be effectively extended for other development partners with rights based approaches. This training will provide the participants with pragmatic depth for developing and promoting the self-help groups along with improved understanding of leadership roles.
The fee for the training is Tk 6,000.00 (Six thousand only) per participant that is inclusive of training, course materials, boarding and lodging at ATC.
The course outline and a nomination form for the 2nd Course are attached herewith. Please nominate appropriate persons for the course. Please note that nominations will be confirmed on receipt of the nomination form duly filled in with the course fee, at least 7 days before the commencement of the course.
