Re: [ALOCHONA] India promises to protect writer (BBC) . . .

Dear Alochoks,

I think we are spending too much time on Taslima. She has been a Islam basher for some reasons. To get name and fame. This is the easiest way now. Any one living in the west can try. You will be overnight celebrity. I am not sure how much knowledge she has on Islamic faith. Muslim Mullahs are also giving her undue importance. India has given her shelter from the communal points of view. Norendra Modi-the butcher of Gujarat wants to use her as an Election Card.

The Indian government has pledged to continue to host
and protect controversial Bangladeshi feminist writer
Taslima Nasreen.
But External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee told
parliament that India expected its guest to behave as
one.

Ms Nasreen has been moved from one city to another in
the last few days for her own safety after violent
protests against her by Muslims in Calcutta.

She is now lodged in a safe house in the capital,
Delhi.
