[vinnomot] Bangladesh received commitment of approx US$500 Million for SIDR from Foreign countries and Donors. What does it tell us?

Dear All,

 

I am curious to know why have all foreign countries and donors pledged approx US$500 Million or 35,000 Crore BD Taka in various forms for SIRD victims?  This is a huge Aid ever Bangladesh got in last 36 years.  What does it tell us about Bangladesh?

 

They pledged this amount of Aid because:

 

Foreign Govts & Donors like CTG and their activities

or

Because most of the CTG are Western Educated

or

Because Bangladesh is a peace loving Muslim Country

or

Because Bangladesh has huge UN forces contribution

or

Because last few Bangladesh Govts have established good relationship with various countries except maybe India since Bangladesh did not approve US$3 Billion Dollar Tata projects.

or

Because Bangladesh is a democratic country

or

They felt bad to see the picture of victims and the areas

 

Then what is it?  Should we give any credits to past few Govts for making good relationship with various countries in the world? Should we give any credits to CTG? I am interested to know the people opinions about this subject.  I am assuming various opinions about this subject.
