Taslima and Islamic violence is the core issue of Indian politics now. It is not the issue of Bangladesh politics anymore-sorry that your mind is still living in 91. And we are focussing on this core issue of India. There are more Muslims in India and than in Bangladesh.
Read auido1--listen to Mr Hassn Mahmud. He told one interesting thing: Muslims have been so cornered thesedays, even a rope appears to them as snake. This kind of attitude is the outcome of an insecured communal mind.
Yes we are relying on Islamic scholars of Bangladesh in this matter of India. If you tell them they should not give advice in the matter of Islam in India, I would rather hold my laugh and ignore you. I will definitely listen to you--but you have to speak rationally and not fanatically.
Vinnomot has been founded by Mr Quddus Khan ( American citizen of Bangladeshi origin) and then later I joined him in 2005 Nov. In 2006 January, we decided to make Vinnomot a magazine that would promote cross-cultural relationship between India and Bangladesh along with promotion of democracy and secularism in both the countries. Episode of Nandigram and then Taslima issue in Kolkata exposed pathetic situation of democracy and secularism in WB and we are extremely busy on this issue because democracy & secularism is the core value of Vinnomot.
BTW: All most all Bangladeshi intellectuals (Prof, writers, Engineers etc) of BD origin in LA area are behind us----
