subject to discuss: promoters, under protection from political

similar in Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Jahed,

This is exactly the kind of nonsense that could be expected from the
New York Slime and from someone who, in quoting from it, seeks more
to distort facts than to comment on them in an honest and unbiased
manner. The fact is that violence in educational institutions in
India has existed for a long time, with fists, with clubs or whatever
else. Also, gun ownership in India has been vastly more restricted
since the 1984 gun laws came into place than at any time in Indian
history after the disarming of the Indian people after the War of
1857.

It is not as if violence did not exist in India before guns were ever
invented - trust a pathologically lying individual to pontificate
without any facts whatsoever on an issue that he seeks to distort and
you will, certainly, find this. If you choose to believe in this
bunk, however, then that is your preference. Whoever sent you this
comment is either grossly ignorant (most probably by his own
preference) or someone who has the explicit intention of lying about
a subject that he feels in sync with the third rate rag that he
quotes from.

PS I could quote widely acknowledged studies by John Lott and others,
I am just not sure that they nwould make any difference to the
motivation of someone who sent this nonsense.
