The way Dr. Hashmi overreacted shows that he had a lot to hide. It was a
false Utopian hope that brought the immigrants to Pakistan. The rich went
west, and poor came east. Most of them paid with their blood afterwards.
Even Altaf Hussain of MQM called the partition of India a 'blender'(blunder)
in an interview with B.B.C. If some pint size historian read the events
wrong, it is his problem. To be a Muktomona member, I believe, one has to
be free minded. If some one can't tolerate heat, he shouldn't enter the
kitchen; so goes the saying.
