[ALOCHONA] our colorful teachers

I am rather old. I still remember those fond days, when teachers were treated like demi-gods.

They taught. They punished when needed. They did not play politics with students. There were colorblind – with no blue or white or green political affiliation. Can the colorful teachers of today can put their hands on their hearts and pronounce that their conscience is clear?
Yes, teachers have every right; in fact, they have a solemn responsibility to speak their mind on issues of national interest. They definitely shall have ideological alliance. This ideological alliance, as opposed to political alliance, has a very different fervor that we see every day in the campuses of successful colleges and universities all over.

It is not right to blame the government or the students or anybody else for the plight of our colorful (?) teachers. If they mind their business and be the merchants of knowledge and ideas – we, the commoners, again shall put them to their rightful status.

I hope that some august day they shall shed their political colors and be transparent as they ought to be!
