FYI:
Playwright Selim Al-Din died on Monday at 1.30pm in Labaid Cardiac Hospital from cardiac complications at the age of 58, Lab Aid sources said.
The critically ill playwright was scheduled to be transferred to a Thailand hospital for better treatment.
Mesbah Azad, LabAid media coordinator confirmed the news of his death to the news agencies.
Selim was rushed to BIRDEM Friday evening after he suffered respiratory trouble. He was transferred to LabAid Hospital after doctors diagnosed cardiac problems.
He was also suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, and chronic bronchitis.
Renowned cultural personality, playwright and professor of drama and dramatics at Jahangirnagar University Selim`s condition remained critical last night after he was provided with artificial life support at Labaid Cardiac Hospital in the city. (Source:The Editor.Net)
