RE: [mukto-mona] Re: Pakistan: A country orphaned at birth

WRT: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mukto-mona/message/46052

Dear Mr.Mehul Kamdar,

First of all I must thank you for the beautiful melodious song
you have sent to us. The indomitable spirit of art and culture, especially in
the Indian sub continent, has a powerful impact on our lives. India
has survived many onslaughts form the outsiders but the soul of India
could never be subdued. People who used to find fake pleasure and security in
the partition of India
are having a rude shock now. We normally always unaware of the hidden realities
of time due to our inability to fathom the essence of time. A tragedy that
started in 1930's still lingering in the great fabric of India
and the perpetrators of that divisive drama are all gone beyond the horizon.
But the poison they planted among us is taking time to leave us. The dream of statecraft
like the European Union is a far cry here because we could not yet lay a
foundation for such a grand dream. If a tradition of uninterrupted democracy
could be realized in Pakistan
and Bangladesh
we might not have to live in these tumultuous times. The ecstasy of religion is
the last resort for the evil minded people. They have more faith in the void
than the people they live with. But like you and many others I also believe,
this may not happen in our life time that a wind of emancipation will blow away
all the evils eventually now making our lives miserable.

Regards

Akbar Hussain
